Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation protocols for noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing infrastructure
- Author peer-reviewed research papers and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Prototype novel quantum hardware interfaces and control systems
- Secure $10M+ in government and private research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum conferences
- Proficiency with low-level quantum control systems and cryogenic engineering
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants or industry partnerships
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Portfolio of deployed quantum solutions solving real-world problems
