Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to enhance system stability
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into functional quantum circuits
- Optimize quantum gate operations for maximum efficiency
- Create simulation environments for quantum system testing
- Document research findings and contribute to open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams with physicists and software engineers
