Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures targeting 10,000+ logical qubits by 2026
- Develop error correction frameworks achieving fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and material science
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through technical proposals and investor presentations
- File 5+ quantum computing patents annually with USPTO
- Establish industry partnerships with NASA, IBM Quantum, and D-Wave Systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# with 100+ quantum circuits deployed
- Experience with cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Track record of scaling quantum systems from 10 to 1,000+ qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms and hybrid quantum-classical frameworks
- Strong background in Python, C++, and FPGA programming for quantum control
