Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for enterprise and research applications
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Develop quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Mentor junior engineers and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
- Partner with academic institutions to advance quantum education and workforce development
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing architecture design experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts to stakeholders
