Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuits for 1000+ qubit systems targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Develop error-correction frameworks enabling fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize cryogenic control systems and qubit coherence
- Create quantum algorithms solving intractable problems in materials science and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional quantum-cloud integration projects with AWS/Azure partners
- Drive quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptographic standards
- Mentor quantum engineering talent in our Austin R&D center
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years quantum architecture experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science) on quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubit technology and quantum annealing
- Track record of delivering production quantum computing systems
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Security clearance preferred for government-contract quantum projects
