Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuits for 50+ qubit processors
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Architect hybrid classical-quantum computing architectures
- Lead quantum algorithm optimization for real-world applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams on cryogenic control systems
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in emerging methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years quantum circuit design experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, surface codes)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Security clearance preferred for government-funded projects
