Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations at scale
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to optimize quantum machine learning algorithms
- Architect secure quantum communication networks resistant to decryption
- Drive quantum software development SDKs for industry applications
- Stay ahead of emerging quantum standards (NIST, IEEE 2026 roadmap)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction (surface codes, LDPC codes)
- Proven track record designing quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Familiarity with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting qubit fabrication and control systems
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Published research in quantum information science or related fields
- US citizenship required for DOE clearance eligibility
