Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Develop error-correction algorithms achieving <99.9% fidelity in multi-qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Translate quantum algorithms into optimized machine code for proprietary quantum processors
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant encryption frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science or equivalent industry impact
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit systems
- Experience leading technical teams and managing R&D budgets over $1M
