As a key member of our Quantum Research Division, you'll architect scalable quantum systems that solve previously intractable problems in drug discovery, climate modeling, and cryptographic security. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry disruptors in our state-of-the-art facility overlooking the San Francisco Bay.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for real-world deployment
- Research and integrate cutting-edge quantum error correction methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-qubit coherence and connectivity
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Author technical whitepapers and present findings at industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and computational complexity
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and HPC optimization
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into scalable implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
