Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $10M+ in R&D grants from government and private institutions
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with MIT, Stanford, and Fermilab on quantum supremacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or other quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum research
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and entanglement principles
- Experience leading quantum projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
