Responsibilities
- Architect quantum computing hardware/software systems with 99.9% qubit coherence
- Design error-corrected quantum processors for commercial deployment
- Develop quantum algorithms solving optimization and cryptography challenges
- Lead interdisciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Translate theoretical quantum models into production-ready implementations
- Secure $10M+ R&D funding through NIH/NSF grant proposals
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners on quantum adoption roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design and error correction
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience securing federal R&D grants ($500K+ projects)
- Track record of delivering quantum computing prototypes to production
- Strong knowledge of quantum cryptography and post-quantum security
