Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols achieving >99.9% qubit fidelity
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and ML specialists
- Secure $10M+ in R&D grants through DOE and NSF partnerships
- Author white papers on quantum advantage in pharmaceutical discovery
- Prototype quantum neural networks for generative AI applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or equivalent
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Experience securing federal quantum research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
