Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computation
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical HPC infrastructure
- Create quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil)
- Secure patents for novel quantum circuit designs
- Collaborate with academic partners on quantum supremacy experiments
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum gate-level programming and circuit optimization
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Physics, Quantum)
- Proficiency with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq) and HPC frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction surface codes
- Track record of leading complex technical projects from prototype to production
