Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to minimize decoherence and error rates
- Develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols for next-gen security infrastructure
- Present breakthrough research at international quantum computing symposia
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding for experimental quantum applications
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and error correction
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum coherence or entanglement
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Track record of securing government or corporate quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant designs
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters for quantum simulations
