Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum algorithm development
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Partner with government agencies on quantum security infrastructure projects
- Research and implement novel quantum hardware interfaces (superconducting, photonic, ion-trap)
- Create quantum software frameworks compatible with classical computing ecosystems
- Drive intellectual property strategy with 15+ annual patent targets
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum processors
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Active TS/SCI security clearance preferred
