Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting qubits
- Develop error-correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Secure patents for novel quantum hardware innovations
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE and APS conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing hardware/software development
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems
- Strong background in quantum error correction
- Proven track record of leading R&D initiatives
- US citizenship required for government contracts
