Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Collaborate with research teams to optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Create technical documentation and implementation roadmaps for quantum computing platforms
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware-software co-design principles
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or high-performance computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and photonic quantum processors
- Strong background in distributed systems and parallel computing architectures
- Published research in quantum computing or demonstrated industry leadership
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex concepts
