Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms leveraging NISQ-era hardware
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical ML models for optimization problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-AI interfaces
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF grant funding for 2026 initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or related computational field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Security clearance eligibility for government projects
