Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization problems in machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum processors with classical AI frameworks
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for quantum neural networks
- Secure federal grants and publish 2+ high-impact papers annually
- Prototype quantum AI applications for cryptography and drug discovery
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Machine Learning (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python/C++ and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proven ability to secure research funding through NSF/NIH grants
