Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for AI optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum machine learning models on real hardware
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-AI accelerator architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum algorithm development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Proven expertise in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) with quantum extensions
- Publication record in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Familiarity with superconducting qubit systems and quantum annealing hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and GPU acceleration
