Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum neural network architectures for unsupervised learning
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional research teams on 3-year horizon projects
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum AI initiatives
- Validate quantum advantage claims through benchmarking against classical systems
- Author patents and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum machine learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Publication record in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Expertise in tensor networks and variational quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) frameworks
- Strong background in Python/C++ and scientific computing libraries
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
