Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-AI hybrid algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and ML engineers on cutting-edge projects
- Develop proprietary quantum error-correction techniques for scalable systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize research breakthroughs
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through quarterly hackathons
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Proven track record of translating theory into practical applications
- Experience securing government research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
