Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical AI models for real-world optimization problems
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum machine learning algorithms and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-develop quantum processors tailored for AI workloads
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, NeurIPS, QIP)
- Mentor cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and ML engineers
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Develop proprietary quantum AI frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (with 5+ years postdoc experience)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) with quantum integration
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Strong background in quantum error mitigation techniques
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Patent portfolio in quantum information processing
