Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale deployments
- Drive research initiatives in quantum neural networks and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
- Present findings at premier conferences (QIP, NeurIPS, APS) and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and shape the future quantum-AI talent pipeline
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum/AI journals/conferences
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical ML frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience leading high-stakes R&D projects with measurable commercial impact
- Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native quantum platforms
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable business strategies
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaboration
