We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing team in New York City. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify bugs, improve workflows, and deliver seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Execute Test Plans: Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
- Regression Testing: Perform rigorous regression testing on weekends to ensure new features do not break existing functionality.
- Performance Analysis: Collaborate with backend teams to analyze system performance and stability during high-traffic periods.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date test cases, documentation, and test status reports.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria and troubleshoot complex issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a full-time basis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual testing, SQL, and at least one automation tool (Selenium, Cypress, or Appium).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of JIRA, TestRail, and HTTP monitoring tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
