Responsibilities
- Monitor System Health: Continuously monitor servers, networks, and applications during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime and stability.
- Troubleshoot Incidents: Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues reported by internal users or external clients.
- Incident Management: Log, track, and manage IT service tickets through the ticketing system (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) with high attention to detail.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system logs to identify bottlenecks and implement performance improvements during low-traffic windows.
- Communication: Provide clear, concise updates to the morning shift team regarding overnight incidents and resolutions.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict security protocols and perform routine security checks to protect sensitive data.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical support, IT help desk, or systems administration.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM) and weekends.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems, network troubleshooting, and remote access tools (VPN, RDP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems independently.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
