Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year innovation roadmaps for quantum-AI convergence and biotech integration
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in prototyping 2026-viable technologies (neural interfaces, climate AI)
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA JPL, and EU Horizon 2030 initiatives
- Develop ethical frameworks for sentient AI deployment and quantum encryption standards
- Deliver quarterly trend briefings to C-suite and board of directors
- Secure $10M+ annual R&D budget through compelling future-state business cases
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or equivalent innovation leadership certification
- 8+ years experience in R&D leadership at FAANG or equivalent innovation-driven organization
- Published author in Journal of Futures Research or equivalent peer-reviewed outlet
- Expertise in quantum computing architectures and generative adversarial networks
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from concept to 10M+ user products
- Deep network within DARPA, IEEE Future Directions Committee, or similar bodies
- Fluency in at least two of: Python, Rust, or MATLAB for prototyping validation
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successfully commercialized future-tech initiatives
