Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with 2026+ industry projections
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, nanotech, etc.)
- Lead scenario planning workshops for C-suite executives on technological disruption
- Establish ethical governance frameworks for high-impact technologies
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership on future tech implications
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype next-generation solutions
- Mentor junior strategists in futurist methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership on emerging technologies (IEEE, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI development
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of ethical AI and responsible innovation frameworks
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
- Portfolio of 3+ strategic roadmaps implemented in Fortune 500 companies
