Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential through 2026+
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic technology roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to inform R&D priorities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate feasibility of emerging technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Author thought leadership pieces on future technology impacts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of translating technology trends into business strategy
- Experience with scenario planning and futures methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
