Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technology foresight frameworks to identify emerging trends with 3-7 year impact horizons
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for executive leadership, modeling future market disruptions
- Conduct deep-dive research on exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Design innovation pipelines converting future-vision into R&D priorities and product roadmaps
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present future-impact analyses to investors and board members
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, R&D leadership, or futures research
- Proven track record of translating technological trends into commercial strategies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario-planning capabilities
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills for complex futures concepts
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., CFM, foresight training)
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption
