Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate future intelligence into product roadmaps and business strategy
- Establish proprietary methodologies for quantifying emerging technology impacts (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Deliver executive briefings and thought leadership on disruptive forces reshaping 2026+ landscapes
- Build and mentor a team of futurist researchers and strategic analysts
- Partner with venture capital arms to identify emerging investment opportunities
- Author annual 'State of the Future' reports influencing $2B+ portfolio decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Proven track record translating foresight into enterprise strategy (Fortune 500 preferred)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., AC/FS, CFRI) or equivalent experience
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals
