Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market forecasts and business objectives
- Identify, assess, and prototype emerging technologies (quantum computing, neurotech, advanced AI) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to validate future product concepts
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Author thought leadership on disruptive tech trends influencing 2026
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget for prototype development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurism roles
- Proven track record launching at least two breakthrough tech products/services
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: AI ethics, quantum applications, or biotech integration
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from Foresight Professionals Institute)
- Published research or patents in disruptive technology fields
- Experience scaling technologies from concept to $100M+ revenue
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python, R, or equivalent)
