Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape assessments
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and resource allocation
- Mentor junior strategists and foster a culture of experimentation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation management
- Proven track record in launching breakthrough products/services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, blockchain, quantum, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., CEIM) preferred
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
