Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating next-gen solutions
- Present strategic technology briefings to C-suite and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental technology initiatives
- Create frameworks for ethical technology governance and risk mitigation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ in emerging tech domains
- Proven track record of successfully launching future-focused products/services
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum systems, neural interfaces, decentralized tech, climate tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning capabilities
- Experience presenting to executive stakeholders and investors
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (patents, white papers, or keynotes)
- Proficiency in technology assessment methodologies (e.g., Delphi, TAMEE)
