Responsibilities

- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies and patent opportunities
- Develop ethical frameworks for AI/ML deployment and data governance
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior researchers on future-proofing methodologies
- Secure $5M+ in R&D grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products (portfolio required)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, neuromorphic, etc.)
- Strong patent portfolio or published research in top-tier journals
- Experience with federal tech grant programs (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management
