Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps targeting 2026 industry disruption
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging tech (quantum, neuromorphic computing, biotech integration)
- Lead stakeholder workshops translating complex innovations into actionable business strategies
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption ROI and innovation maturity
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation across experimental projects
- Present strategic visions to executive boards and investor forums
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or hyper-growth startups
- Proven track record launching at least one breakthrough tech product/service
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI governance, or climate tech
- Certified in Strategic Innovation Management (SIM) or equivalent
- Published research in IEEE or Nature journals preferred
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, CHIPS Act)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Innovation
- Portfolio demonstrating 2025+ technology forecasting accuracy
