Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and organizational vision
- Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies (quantum, AI, AR/VR, biotech) and assess commercial viability
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate futuristic technologies into current innovation pipelines
- Present strategic technology forecasts to executive leadership and board members
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academic partners, and industry pioneers
- Drive innovation through hackathons, prototyping sprints, and technology incubation programs
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption success and measure ROI of futuristic initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in developing long-term technology roadmaps with measurable outcomes
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, advanced AI, etc.)
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and influencing high-stakes decisions
- Strong network within global tech innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, academic institutions, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in strategic foresight or technology forecasting (e.g., from foresight.org)
- Prior experience scaling technology innovations from concept to market
