Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and organizational goals
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum computing, biotech fusion, decentralized systems)
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future-tech into product roadmaps and business strategy
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Represent company at global tech summits and publish thought leadership on future trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale companies
- Proven track record in launching future-focused initiatives (e.g., AI ethics frameworks, quantum applications)
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains: AI, quantum computing, or sustainable tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., Foresight Graduate Certificate) or equivalent
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience at TED, Web Summit, or equivalent venues
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies (NIST, IEEE standards)
