Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 2026+ market impact (quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Conduct competitive analysis of next-generation tech ecosystems and patent landscapes
- Present technology insights to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Build relationships with technology pioneers at MIT, Stanford, and DARPA
- Author annual Future Tech Outlook reports distributed to industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI ethics, climate tech, Web3, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact modeling
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Proficiency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Security clearance preferred for government collaboration opportunities
