Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, AR/VR, neurotech) and assess commercial viability
- Lead strategic workshops with engineering, design, and product teams to translate vision into executable plans
- Establish KPI frameworks for innovation initiatives and track ROI of experimental technologies
- Build strategic partnerships with research institutions, startups, and industry consortiums
- Present technology strategy to investors, board members, and executive leadership
- Develop risk mitigation protocols for ethical, security, and regulatory implications of emerging tech
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, corporate innovation, or R&D leadership
- Proven experience mapping technology adoption curves and market disruption
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, etc.)
- Executive-level presentation skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Track record of launching successful innovation initiatives with measurable business impact
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with technology focus
- Published thought leadership in tech strategy or innovation management
- Experience with scenario planning and futures methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
