Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions (e.g., quantum algorithms, carbon-negative tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year adoption potential
- Present strategic briefings to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Oversee patent portfolios and IP strategy for future innovations
- Mentor a team of 5+ technology futurists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI governance, climate tech, or biotech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent foresight training preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting models
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Portfolio of published research or patented innovations
