Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum AI, biotech convergence, and climate-tech innovations
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen systems with $15M+ annual R&D budget
- Establish partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA for joint research initiatives
- Develop patent strategies targeting 2026's emerging IP landscape (quantum encryption, neuro-interfaces)
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite and Board of Directors quarterly
- Mentor a team of 12 PhD researchers and innovation specialists
- Monitor global tech policy shifts affecting 2026 commercialization pathways
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Bioengineering with 10+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching technologies with $100M+ market impact
- Deep expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, climate modeling
- Published research in Nature/Science with 500+ citations
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and corporate partnerships
- Proficiency in scenario planning for 2030+ technology forecasting
- Portfolio demonstrating leadership in 2+ successful moonshot projects
