Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026-2030 technology roadmap
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neuro interfaces, climate tech) for commercial viability
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and global innovation labs
- Architect ethical frameworks for AI/automation deployment across verticals
- Present future technology vision to C-suite and board members
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and trend synthesis
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling ROI projections
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on AI ethics or quantum applications
- Proven track record scaling tech innovations from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (e.g., synthetic biology, advanced robotics, decentralized systems)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA)
- Fluency in Mandarin or German for global stakeholder engagement
