Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for 2026+ technology adoption across quantum, bio-AI, and climate tech domains
- Develop patent-pending innovation frameworks for next-gen computing architectures
- Partner with Stanford/MIT research labs on 5-year horizon technology roadmaps
- Manage $50M+ R&D portfolio for emerging technology incubation
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build cross-industry coalitions with SpaceX, IBM, and WHO on future tech policy
- Mentor PhD fellows in applied futurism and speculative engineering
Qualifications
- 10+ years in emerging tech strategy with 5+ years in quantum/AI/quantum computing
- Published author in Nature or Science on future technologies
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with focus on 2030+ tech
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for speculative R&D
- Deep understanding of semiconductor scaling limits and post-Moore's Law solutions
- Portfolio of deployed technologies with >1M user impact
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Security clearance preferred for defense-adjacent projects
