Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and sustainable energy systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with 15+ engineers and scientists
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants from DARPA, NSF, and private investors
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of radical innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 8+ years of R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ products launched)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neural networks, or synthetic biology
- Experience securing federal grants ($1M+) and managing multi-year research budgets
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing frameworks
