Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including AI ethics, quantum applications, and climate tech
- Lead R&D initiatives targeting 2026 market readiness for breakthrough innovations
- Partner with C-suite executives to align technology strategy with business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Manage $50M+ innovation budgets across quantum and AI research portfolios
- Present strategic recommendations to board members and industry consortiums
- Oversee patent strategy for next-generation intellectual property portfolios
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech foresight
- Proven track record delivering commercialized innovations from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI development, or climate tech
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field preferred
- Experience managing global R&D teams across 3+ continents
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier publications
- Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or Arabic for international stakeholder engagement
