Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for disruptive technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market shifts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to integrate emerging tech into product innovation pipelines
- Produce competitive intelligence reports and scenario analyses for executive decision-making
- Manage strategic partnerships with startups, universities, and research institutions
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to the board of directors
- Mentor junior strategists and build internal innovation capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of identifying and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication skills for executive-level presentations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through strategic transformation
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation (preferred)
