Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic frameworks for emerging technologies including quantum computing, advanced AI, and synthetic biology
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations with 3-5 year market impact
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate technology trends into actionable business opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Manage technology partnerships with leading research institutions and startups
- Establish KPIs for innovation pipeline and track ROI of future technology investments
- Author thought leadership content and represent InnovateX at industry conferences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Management, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, R&D, or technology innovation roles
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, biotech, or space tech
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex technological adoption curves
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Certification in strategic foresight or technology forecasting (e.g., from FTI or APF)
- Experience managing budgets over $5M for R&D initiatives
