Responsibilities

- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging technologies (quantum, synthetic biology, neuromorphic computing)
- Develop strategic partnerships with DARPA, NASA, and top-tier research institutions
- Create predictive models for technology convergence and societal impact
- Present findings to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Mentor junior futurists in technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of launching 3+ breakthrough tech products
- Expertise in quantum computing, blockchain, and AI ethics frameworks
- Published research in IEEE or Nature Technology Review
- Clearance for government technology initiatives (preferred)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and scenario planning tools
