- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups for IP acquisition
- Present technology foresight to investors and board members, securing $10M+ innovation budgets
- Drive commercialization of pilot technologies through agile product development sprints
- Mentor a team of futurists and data scientists in horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough technologies (quantum/AI/biotech preferred)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology adoption lifecycle modeling
- Deep network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems (VCs, labs, academia)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or futures research
